The Loonie


So, why in Forex speak is the Canadian Dollar currency known as the ‘loonie’? Because on one side of a one Canadian Dollar coin there is the image of a Loon. Definition:“ Loon - large somewhat primitive fish-eating diving bird of the northern hemisphere having webbed feet placed far back; related to the grebes.” So, now you know.
